Hello! My name is Yamilette, I am originally from Puerto Rico and I am a bilingual therapist. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of South Carolina committed to helping families and individuals discover how to be their best selves and live fulfilling lives. I have an additional master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. With this additional training, I am able to focus not only on how the client functions as an individual but also on their relationships with others at all ages.

I use a holistic approach where I integrate mind, body, and soul. When working with me, I will take into consideration how your overall well-being is affected by your emotional, social, physical, and spiritual condition. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to help clients reach their goals by providing them with the necessary tools and resources.

Families and individuals experiencing the issues listed below can benefit from therapy with me:

  • Adult and adolescent mental health

  • Acculturation issues

  • Family life cycle and transitions

  • Stages of life issues

  • Parenting and family functioning

  • Work-related problems

  • Traumatic experiences

  • Challenges for bilingual families

Hello! My name is Jennifer, and I am originally from Colombia, South America. I know firsthand how scary changes can be as I decided to move to the United States almost 12 years ago. It is because of this and other experiences that I feel I am uniquely qualified to help individuals and families adapt to transitions in their lives. My desire to help others led to me pursuing and receiving my Master’s degree and license as a Marriage and Family Therapist.

I work with clients who want to stop feeling stuck, depleted, angry, or sad all the time. Clients who instead, want to learn to love themselves and stop putting other people's needs before their own. My clients realize that taking a step toward positive change means to stop avoiding by staying busy or waiting for things to pass. I'm here to offer support and guidance during this new step!

I provide a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space for my clients, offering therapy in English and Spanish to ensure you can express yourself comfortably in the language that feels more natural to you. Whether it is trauma, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, life changes, difficulties adapting to new situations, domestic violence, sexual assault, or relationship issues; I'm here for you!

I utilize different therapy models and techniques to help you feel healthier and empowered. When working with me, you will learn to put yourself first while still being kind and loving to others. You will also learn how to prevent those intense emotions from becoming too overwhelming.

I invite you to take the first step and schedule a free 15-minute consultation to answer your questions and help you determine if I am the right therapist for you. I currently provide services both in English and Spanish, via telehealth only.
